Winter Hounds is an informal wine-tasting celebration of greyhounds and other sighthounds held every February. This year the event will transition to Leesburg, Virgina for the first time.
We are in the process of identifying wineries which want to participate. Many people attend from Thursday night through Sunday morning. During the day folks will travel with their greyhounds to local wineries, brew pubs and distilleries around Leesburg to taste and buy wine. We will also have several vendors in our meeting room on Friday evening and all day Saturday. |
In the evenings folks will gather in our large social room at Best Western-Leesburg to hang out with their hounds, like-minded people and friends. We usually have music and snacks of some sort, and folks often bring a beverage of their choice.
Our primary hotel this year will be the Best Western-Leesburg Hotel & Conference Center, 726 E. Market Street Leesburg, VA 20176.
Rooms will be just $109 per night plus local taxes. The hotel has waived pet fees for our event. You may reserve your first floor room by calling the hotel directly at (703) 777-9400.
